Gabriella has outgrown the "gate" method of timeout. I now make her sit in a small chair facing the wall. (which of course she hates, she points at the chair, shakes her head, and says "NO!" lol) So yesterday she tried to turn on the gas burner on the stove, I told her no and said if she did that again it was timeout in the chair. She immediately went to touch it again, then shook her head, told herself no and chair, and dragged the chair in the corner and sat down in it. I didn't say a word. She then sat down and cried because timeout wasn't fun. I guess 1 1/2 year olds are smarter than we think...... at least this one. I was trying so hard not to laugh. She didn't go back to the stove again after that.

Gabriella has done some serious growing recently. She's currently wearing a size 2T and is taller than most 2 year olds. She has also had her language explosion and can mimic pretty much any word we say. Along with the 2 year old growing and language comes the two year old tantrums! : ) Yesterday at the mall she learned how to climb the slide by herself and slide down. The whole time she was screaming with joy "weee Gabriella yay".
